The face behind Abolishion

Early last year Leanne took the time to have a Skype call with me to share her story. She recalled being drawn to Europe after a trip that laid heavily on her heart, driving her to pursue a fight against the exploitation of many vulnerable people across Europe. After a number of years living in England and Paris, popular destination countries for the sex-trade, she was referred to Romania by anti-trafficking organisations that confirmed there were many women in the sex trade across Europe that were Romanian. As a high-profile source country, Romania is now where Abolishion is based.

Changing the world is easy.  It’s just a lot of work that needs to be done one step at a time.  It will take work, hard work, but not impossible work.  We simply need to choose in our instant, me focused culture that we don’t have time to really make a difference and bring the change that the world desperately needs.  If it really was our priority then we’d do something about it.

Security in human trafficking

Last week Abolishion was invited to present at the 5th Agora International Administration Conference on "The role of the Human Factor in Ensuring Human Security".

Our team spoke as keynote speakers alongside PhD lecturer Aurora Graviș and the head of N-V Regional National Agency against Human Trafficking (ANITP), Gheorghe Ungur.
