Abolishion’s CEO, Leanne Rhodes, made an important trip to Chisinau, Moldova to meet with Liliana Balan from Child Protection.  Liliana said that 6% of the child population in Moldova have been trafficked.  Then she emphasised, “that’s just the ones we know about."

Children in Moldova, particularly those living in villages are some of the most vulnerable in Europe to traffickers.  Traffickers come to villages and offer gifts, luring children to their vehicles.  The children are rarely seen again.

The Abolishion team are now focusing on how we can work with Child Protection in Moldova. We want to bring effective prevention programs to these highly targeted children, right where trafficking happens.
